The next morning

You wake up to hear the music still playing. It takes you a moment to make out the song – “Anywhere” by Evanescence. The words make you smile softly as your eyes fully adjust to the sleeping form beside you. Andi is still snuggled against you, the back of her head resting against your chest, her arm keeping yours against her waist as she snores lightly. You can’t help but lean down and softly kiss the top of her head as you hold her close.

The movement seems to stir her somehow and she slowly wakes up. It seems to take her a moment to realize where she is and who she’s with. Then you notice a beautiful smile light her face as she moves your arm and rolls over to face you. “Good morning, John.”

“Morning, Andi,” you reply. “How did you sleep?”

She giggles and blushes a bit. All signs of her trepidation from last night seem to be forgotten. “I slept really well. It was really nice.”

You feel the blood rising to your face as well. “I enjoyed it too.” You lean down a bit and playfully kiss her nose. She giggles and wrinkles her nose at you.

After a few moments of just lying there together, Andi breaks the silence. “Guess we should get up then?”

“Yeah.”

Neither of you move.

A hand banging on the door finally breaks your idyllic rendezvous. Kelly calls out through the door. “Will you two come up for air, for Christ’s sake? You’re gonna be late.”

You shake your head, trying not to laugh as Andi’s cheeks turn bright crimson. “Guess that’s our cue,” you whisper as you slowly pull away from her. Rolling over, you gather up your clothes and start to get dressed.

“John?” You turn to see Andi. She has the covers pulled up a bit, giving you a lovely view of her shy face, shoulders, and the very tops of her breasts, her hair falling around them. “Can we do this again tonight?”

“Sure,” you smile happily as you finish pulling on your pants. “My place or yours?” you give her a playful wink.

To your amazement, a devious grin crosses her face. “Yours. I have one more surprise for you.”

As expected, you’re even more worthless today than you were the day before. All you can focus on is Andi’s promise and devious grin. The moment work and classes are over, you go out to the park and jog for what seems like hours, forcing your body to wind down and focus. As you finish your last lap, the sun begins to set over the horizon. You climb into your car and drive home.

There is no sign of anyone else there when you arrive, so you go upstairs to your room and take a long, hot shower, cleaning the sweat and anxiety off your body. The moment you step out of the shower and walk into your bedroom, there is a knock at the door.

“Hey, John. Ready for me?” Andi calls out.
