Ann walked to the front of the shop. As usual, she knew who the customer would be and what would be desired. She smiled to the young man standing at the counter.

"Good morning, sir; Thomas, is it not?"

He held out a foot-long gift box, roughly encircled by strands of ribbon. "Yes; Mistress Sarah asked that I return this."

"Aah. Was she satisfied?"

"Extremely; she's come to an arrangement with her daughter Krista to ensure all changes to the legal paperwork are in order. It can be very handy to have a lawyer for a daughter."

"Legal help in the family is always beneficial. Is there anything you'd like to see, Mister Thomas?"

"Nothing at the moment; I'm going to be meeting Miss Krista for lunch shortly. Do you have a business card I might give her?"
