The necklace

Harley takes the necklace out of the bag. It is actually two, just like everyone she knew had in High School. Everyone else.

Her mind slips away as she holds the necklaces. Flashes of all of her high school friends play out in her mind. They had all been so close. Hanging out every weekend. Parties. Popularity.

Then black. Her eyes are open but she can't see anything. Staring into the nothing she remembers her real memories.

Sitting home alone on weekends. Every weekend.

Hanging out with her mom and aunt and being told, "I didn't have friends either." and knowing you wouldn't have any either.

Everything Harley has been seeing and feeling fades away and she is holding the necklaces in her hand.

Could this be real? If she gives someone the necklace, will they be her friend?

She quickly put on some PJ's and set off to find someone to test this with.
