The mall with mom

We entered the huge mall from the side that i first came through, she saw a school supply store at the second floor and we quickly got there. She bought a lot of stuff... like an excesive amount Some of this stuff i'm probably never going to use in my entire life i thought but couldn't say anything to her because she always was like that - she bought two of everything, just to make sure. I was thinking about all the money that she spent with that habit, she surely must have spent more than double her wage every month but it wasn't a problem because daddy was rich and he could buy a whole school if he needed to.

I stopped to look around the store while mom kept buying stuff and i stumbled upon some cool pens and weird pencils that got my attention - so much so that i managed to bump with a person right next to the shelves with the cool pens.

I quickly glanced at the person, at the girl actually that i bumped with and said sorry before she could turn around and face me. I took a quick glance at her face and noticed how cute she was, she looked really young though, she seemed like a couple years younger than me.

She looked at me and said "No need to worry... is fine" before turning around again, giving me her back. I got nervous but didn't want to do anything so i went to the counter to check on mom and WHAT IS WITH ALL THIS?! i exclaimed in my head as i saw 4 large bags filled with books and school supplies.

I looked at mom while she was paying and told her "Mom, i know i don't have anything for school but do you really think that this is necessary... i mean, it seems like a lot... even for the 4 years i'm going to be there" she looked at me and just smiled - the same thing she always did when she spent large amount of money. I knew that i couldn't complain so i just accepted the fact that i had to carry 4 large, heavy bags around the mall for the rest of the afternoon.

We went to one of the two general stores that had thousands of clothes brands, decoration items, games, electronics, everything. We were looking especifically for clothes... a lot of them.

Since i didn't have that many clothes back home, mom went on a full on buying spree - she grabbed almost every type of clothes she could find and placed them on a shopping cart that we were using to carry around the bags with supplies. I quickly got bored of having to wait for mom to find the right size of a shirt she liked so i looked around and explored the different brands of the clothing section - i had to stay near mom so she wouldn't lose me so i was buried in a stand with large hoodies. The boredom was killing me as i was sitting looking around between these hoodies. At one point i just stayed looking at one direction and then something caught my attention.

I saw the same girl from the earlier, now with her mom, looking around for some school uniforms and other types of clothes. They got closer to me because they were looking for skirts that were 3 rows from my left, i stood up and pretended to look at some hoodies. After a while mom finally got me a shirt and placed it in the cart, i tried guiding her attention at the school clothes section to get closer to this girl.

"Mom, i don't have any school or formal shoes, i think i should have one for special school events or something like that... you know?" She seemed confused from my comment, like she was suspicious at my odd request but then she agreed and we went to the school shoes section that was literally in front of the skirts section where that girl was. We stayed there for a couple more minutes while mom tried to figure out my foot size, she made me try on a lot of shoes but then i noticed that the girl was now at the school shoes section, trying to look for a pair with her mom.

I tried a shoe that fitted me but when i realized that this girl was heading my way to try out her shoes i told my mom that it didn't fitted even though it did "Mom, i'm not sure about this one... can you look for another one" she seemed okay with it and said "Ok sweetie, i will see what i can find" and went to look at more shoes.

As i was sitting, trying to take out my shoes the girl from before finally got here and took a sit to try her pair of shoes - i looked at her hoping that she would notice me and when she finally got her foot in one of them she looked up to see my stupid face akwardly staring at her. She seemed to recognize me, i could tell by the expression of her face that she was surprised to see me again.

She hesitated a little bit before saying to me "You... again" i stared at her and replied "Yes, me... again" she seemed to find my reply funny as she chuckled a little before saying "What are you doing here?" I saw that as an opportunity to keep nature of my previous response and said "The same i could ask about you"

"Ok ok..." she seemed to take the incentive to talk first and said "I'm looking for clothes for highschool, i'm returning next week so i guess this is a last minute shopping" i replied with "Yeah me too... well, instead of highschool is college but yeah..." she seemed impressed by the fact that i was a college student and said

"You don't look like a college student" which i quickly responded with "Well, you look like you are not even in middle school" she looked like i offended her but kept the energy going and replied playfully "I think you are just jealous that your highschool years passed and that's why you are so salty towards the fact that i'm still enjoying my young life... and for your information, i'm a senior now, i turned 18 not too long ago so suck it!"

I smiled at her and tried to kept the game rolling but her mom came and asked her "How are the shoes?" Which she replied "They are great mom, i think these are the right ones" Her mom stopped to look at me and said "It looks like you made a friend over here"

She smiled and replied to her mom "We were just discussing about going back to school" and with that her mom seemed to lose interest in me and went to pay for the shoes. I tried talking with this girl but i noticed that she had to go, she stood up and before going to her mom she looked at me and said "Hope to see you again soon!" And winked at me.

Man is this real?? I talked with a complete stranger and we already became friends i thought, i tried to ask for her number but i was interrupted by my mom with a pair of shoes in her hands. I tried them on and they fitted so we went to pay. In the counter i noticed that the girl and her mom were nowhere to be seen so i got a little bit sad before mom said "Alright, now go try on all of these clothes before we pay for them" she pointed at the cart with the thousands of clothes. I sighed but took all of the clothes to the nearest dressing room, i opened the courtains of a stall and placed all of the clothes in a bench inside. I took of my clothes and tried a couple clothes before hearing people outside, it seemed like someone went to the stall in my left and after some minutes another person entered the stall on my right.

I was getting bored of trying on so many clothes but i kept going before hearing a familiar voice at the stall on my right but i thought nothing about it and kept changing clothes... or maybe i would try something else...
