The long ride is over

Your mom nudges you awake. “Ok Zack, we’re here. No more complaining- be supportive of your sister, please.”

“Ah-“ still waking up you reply “y-yes mom, of course.”

You walk around the football field with your mom, looking out for your friends. You see your best friend Robert and your girlfriend Jenny waving and signalling for you to sit next to them.

Jenny smiles at you as you take a seat between her and your mom. “Took you long enough! Where have you been?”

Your mom butts-in “Playing video games again. I swear if he didn’t get such good grades I’d have had thrown that damn thing away a long time ago.”

You can’t help but feel a bit worried that she might take your gaming away from you one day, but you quickly realise how stupid that is- you’re an adult, your mom can’t do that, can she?
