The hospital.

Rhythmic beeping wakes you. Your vision in blurry as you squint awake. A shape moves out of the corner of your eye. "Doctor! Doctor! He's waking up!" The voice is muffled, but familiar. The pounding of multiple feet resonates in your skull, giving you a splitting headache. A pair of strong hands opens your eyes and a light shines on them. "Eyes are working fine." You head a masculine voice say. "Can you hear me? Do you know your name? Do you know where you are? Do you know what happened to you?"

Haltingly, you answer the voice, which introduces himself as Dr. Roberts. Behind him, you can see Melissa, Katie, a cute, petite Asian nurse and to your horror, Selas, who is wearing a simple T-shirt and jeans. You scramble in the bed and point to her. "She's here! She's real! She's the one that did this to me!"

Dr. Roberts holds you down firmly. "Easy, easy there. You're fine. You're just dehydrated and seeing things. It happens. Your cousin's been here everyday, keeping an eye on you." Selas puts on a sad face and nods somberly. You almost believe her, if a pair of horns didn't sprout on her head.

Melissa comes to your side and puts her hand on your shoulder. You flinch away from her, but relax when you see her smile. "Katie and me have been here too. We were so scared when we heard you had been hospitalized. You've been asleep for a week. We were afraid you would never wake up, but Sara had faith. You have a good family." You try to smile but you begin to feel weak again.

"Ladies, I think he's had enough for today." Dr. Roberts says, taking down some notes. "Let's let him get some rest. If you need anything, just press that button and Mei here will come down and take care of you."

"When do you think he'll be discharged Doc?" Katie asks.

"Couple of days, maybe. Might keep him an extra day for observation."

Their voices fade away and you fall back asleep.
