The first day

After dinner Lily ordered everyone to bed, especially Violet. The day was going to start early and she wanted everyone to be in peak condition for the first day of training. As you woke up the next morning you saw that it was still an hour before your alarm would go off. You spent the time checking over your armor, running its diagnostics and doing a full cleaning. The simple act relaxed you and when you finally finished you saw that it was time for you to meet everyone outside. Quickly getting dressed you went out to wait for the day to start.

You got outside as the bus rolled into the courtyard, you saw Lily and Gwen out front and went over to stand beside them. As the bus stopped and opened its doors the recruits stepped out. About half of the recruits were quite similar in appearance to Gwen and Lily obviously of native Viking stock but the other half showed evidence of the Viking's raids, there were a few who were obviously the product of raids against the AD, their dark skin standing out among the others. To your surprise you saw Violet get off last. She must have woken up early to leave and catch a ride on it.

The first day started with dorm and team assignments. These had obviously been made beforehand and there was an even mix of native Vikings and raid born assigned to each. Violet got Valkyrie as she said she would. It was then off to the armory for training armor fitting and initial weapon selection. Adi was waiting there and had you help with sizing and . When it came time to pick weapons most of the recruits chose the axe or sword. A distant third was the spear and only two of them chose a bow. After that it was time for them to learn to use them.

"All of you have now picked a weapon. You have until the end of this week to change it. The one in your hand at the end of this week will stay with you from then until Ragnarok.
