The customers

You decide that the customers are probably the best bet for your first target. You scan their minds with your powers and learn that the mother's name is Claire and her daughter is Ellie. You watch as the two of them make their way towards the escalator at the back of the store, heading up towards the clothing department, and that's when you choose to strike.

As they ride up the escalator Ellie leans lazily against the banister and you quickly click your fingers, catching her sleeve in the conveyor. It's only a couple of moments before they reach the top, and Claire steps of easily, but as Ellie goes to follow she comes up short, unable to free her sleeve.

She barely had time to scream as her blouse suddenly tears apart, getting pulled down into the mechanism and leaving her stood there in nothing but her khaki shorts and a plain white bra.
