The cashier makes another mistake
Arron finished placing the items on the belt and waited until the person in front of him was done loading up her bags. The little boy in her arms looked up and smiled and Arron returned the smile, waving in response before she pushed the wagon off.
"Paper or plastic?"
He turned his attention to the young boy, maybe a bit older than Sarah was at 19, who was scanning the items. "Paper, please."
He nodded and continued to scan, ringing up the items and every so often would look up at Arron who was distracted a bit by the baby in the next aisle who was making giggling sounds and also waving at him. "So friendly..."
Arron turned and nodded at him and then looked at the register total to see how much of a dent it was going to put in his wallet and completely missed the slight flushing in the cashier's face. "Yikes..."
"W-Will that be all?" he asked and when he nodded, the cashier pressed the total button and the number flashed across the screen. "It'll be $250.09." When he saw Arron about to use the credit card reader, he raised his hand. "Sorry, our machine's broken. You can hand me the card."
Arron smiled at that and handed it to the young man who slid it through the system and when it processed, he turned and began to load the bags into the cart. "There you go. Receipt with you or in the bag?"
"Bag please."
After he put it into the last of the bags, he turned and handed it to him. "There you go, thank you for shopping at Target, Mrs..."
"Arron's fine."
"Thank you, Erin. Have a nice day."
