The X-Tribe: The Rogue

A'na-M'rie, also known as The Rogue, had been an initiate in the X-Tribe for years. Unable to control her powers, any prolonged physical contact with another human being could have disastrous (and possibly fatal) consequences for the other person involved -- one of the most traumatizing incidents for the Rogue was, when several years prior, she had been an initiate in the Sisterhood. My'Stiq, the Sisterhood's leader, had commanded her to use her abilities to neutralize War-Bird during a battle with the A-Vengers. A'na successfully carried out her orders, and was even able to permanently gain War-Bird's abilities, but the cost was high; a part of War-Bird's psyche had been transferred into her own, and the A-Venger fell into a coma. Wracked with guilt, The Rogue left the Sisterhood and sought the help of the X-Tribe and their powerful telepaths to make things right. The X-Tribe was able to return Ka-Rol's stolen psyche to her, and the A-Venger made a full recovery. But although Ka-Rol had forgiven the young woman who had nearly killed her, The Rogue couldn't forgive herself.

A'na-M'rie was considered a valuable member of the X-Tribe, and the women of the tribe loved her as one of their own. Still, she lived with a broken heart. She wasn't able to touch any of the other women of the tribe, and although they tried as best they could to include her in their sex sessions, only being able to watch and masturbate just couldn't compare to actually being able to touch her girlfriends. Hope's abilities were rather similar to The Rogue's, and A'na quickly became the young woman's mentor. Unlike A'na, though, Hope didn't need to be in physical contact to copy another super-powered person's ability, she merely needed to be in close contact. Furthermore, Hope's abilities didn't hurt the person she was mimicking in any way, leaving her free to join in on any of the X-Tribe's sexual ceremonies and fun.
