The Sickness (Disease)

During The Last Great War to ravage The Milky Way Galaxy numerous Sentient Species were exposed to an Incurable Genetically-Engineered Form of Virus of Unknown Origin which decimated thousands of Intelligent Species and resulted in The Deaths of over 38 Billion over the course of Three Years. The Virus appeared to be particularly destructive to The Y-Chromosome of Men though it could still be deadly to Women. The Virus was eventually Suppressed but The Damage to The Races it infected had been done. In Many Cases, The Male Gender of an infected species was eliminated altogether as well as the ability to give birth to any Male Offspring even through In-Vitro Fertilization using stored Sperm or through Interspecies Procreation.

The Best Exo-Molecular Quantum Geneticists across the entire ConSentiency have been unable to find a cure for The Virus or determine it's origin but they have determined that it is a Silicon-Based Metagenic Nano-Virus, A Microscopic Technologically-Based, Organically Self-Replicating Pathogen made using Nanotechnology that enters the victim and reprograms their DNA. The Machines are programmed with Artificially-Intelligent Bio-Software that can instantly and intelligently adapt to any and all attempts to stop or destroy them.

Who could possibly perpetrate such a Heinous and Reprehensible Act and for what reason has been the subject of much discussion, debate, and investigation over the years but there are clues:

• Men seemed to be the primary focus of The Virus. An attempt to eliminate competition has been suggested.
• Women were left largely unaffected which would seem to indicate that the designer of such an insidious bio-weapon was Male.
• Women surviving infection were Genetically-Encoded with extremely powerful Motivational Imperatives which include Enhanced Sexual Drives and increased sensitivity to sexual stimuli.
• There were also certain physical alterations as well. Some of these "Alterations" were cosmetic like amplification of the species most attractive qualities, greatly reduced aging once they reached their physical peak. There were also changes that weren't quite as noticeable which included the development of New glands, one of which produces an Extremely Powerful Aphrodisiac, and Organs, One of which appears to be a Second Brain or more specifically a Sacro-Lumbar Expansion capable of assuming all control of the body's Motor Functions. This facet of The Infected's altered physiology isn't well understood but it appears to facilitate the growth and development of what has come to be called "The Pudendal Nervous System" which is a sophisticated and highly intricate system of Nervous, Muscular, and Vascular development which is responsible not only for all sexual and reproductive aspects of the newly transformed but also functions as a supplement to Brain's Memory Centers. It also seems to be stimulated by certain telepathic frequencies and has shown a sensitivity to The Pheromones secreted by certain Men.
• Certain behavioral changes have been observed in those Infected while in the presence of and especially after Sexual Intercourse with a Genetically-Compatible Male including The Production of Massive Quantities of Oxytocin thereby facilitating The Development of Immense, Even Addictive Emotional Attachments to them leading to an Intensely Intoxicating and Euphoric Sense of Contentment.
