The Seams Give, But The Dagger Breaks...

With a careful and deliberate application of the dagger's blade, I cut away the lining of the coffin and begin prying apart its seams. It takes far longer than I would have preferred, and the air grows steadily staler as I work, which by the end makes me incautiously hasty and rushed in my efforts. Though I succeed in getting one panel of the coffin pried away enough that I can break it out and escape, the price I pay is that my dagger snaps in half at the last and I must finish busting out the panel with my shoulder, which will leave me with quite a bruise.

I scramble free of the coffin and look around me, or I try, but there's no light. After regaining my breath I reach back into the coffin and collect the items I found, I figure I will need them, even the broken part of my dagger. I dress in the suit of clothes by feel, and then feel around the top of the coffin looking for I'm not sure what, but I know when I find it: a candle in a candle holder, and a box of Tinder Twigs.

With fumbling fingers that spill several tinder twigs on the ground I managed to get the candle lit, and found myself...
