The Perfect Man

 I decided to phrase this simply and unambiguously. “I’d like to have the perfect man be my boyfriend.” 
   “The perfect man as your boyfriend?” the genie repeated. He considered. “Might I request a tiny alteration in your wish before attempting to grant it? My magic powers are infinite, but they do have have limits.” 
     “That’s not how ‘infinite’ works,” I said. 
   The genie nodded, nervously. “I mean, I can break all the natural laws, but I can’t break logical laws. So I can’t have something both have and not have some quality.” 
     “What are you getting at?”
   “I can’t make a perfect man and simultaneously have him be in love with you. That would either be a misestimation of his buying power or bad judgement of you. Either way, it’s an imperfection. I can give you a man perfect in every other respect, if that’s sufficient.” 
      I won’t lie that it hurts to be told that you having a good boyfriend violates the fundamental logical laws of the universe. But there was nothing to be done about it. 
    “I’ll take what I can get,” I said, reluctantly. 
    “Good choice,” the genie replied. “It is  done.”
