The Park.

The park was not Sarah's first choice of starting area but after reading online the famous "Stiletto's" tips about surviving your first hunt, it seemed like the best option. The three time winner had stated that open spaces like the park offered many escape routes and easy vantage points to see people approaching when the collar goes active.

Sure enough, when Sarah arrived, the open field of green grass with a loose outline of trees did in fact give an excellent view of the surrounding area; however there was one major problem that Sarah had not counted on. The park was packed with people. Matters where made even worse when she saw the reason why. Stiletto was here and her collar had just gone active. The famous hunted was currently in a fight with a hunter and one of the infamous "Hunt-and-Fuck drones". The bot looked like some weird metallic bug, with it's thin carapace and insect like wings buzzing rapidly as it hovered in the air waiting to strike. Meanwhile Stiletto seemed to be having trouble avoiding the hunter who, for some odd reason, was trying to lasso his prey. Given the range of gadgets on the fibermesh clad woman's belt, this seemed like an obvious miss-match.

Sarah had no interest in sticking around to see who would win. Her collar could flash blue at any time and the number of people with phones out trying to take pictures and video meant that, if even just one of them had the hunter app installed, they would spot her instantly. Backing away slowly, Sarah made her way across the park; keeping her head down and not looking when ever she heard the crowd cheering.

I need to find somewhere to hide until Cormac arrives. Suddenly the idea of the hunt seemed a lot less romantic and exciting given the reality that someone else could actually catch her before her husband. Sarah was starting to regret not enacting the hunter restriction on her application. The town was heaving with people due her hunt seeming to have fallen on the same day as Stiletto's (and possibly a few others as well).

Crossing the street and ducking into a backally, Sarah's mind was racing over her planned route to think of somewhere she could hold up for a while.
