Sadly The Information We Have On Pan Global Security Inter-Dimensional Shuttles Is Quite Basic. Shuttle Technology Like The CVI and The Skrill are Largely Classified But Here Is What Is Known About This Incredible Piece of Technology:

Overview:

The Type-7 PGS Multi-Purpose ID Shuttle is the preferred method of travel for PGS Agents. They were created through a combination of Reverse-Engineered Taelon Shuttle Technology and OverTechnology Principles. Like The Taelon Shuttles on which they are based PGS Shuttles are equipped with Inter-Dimensional Drives (Similar to The Fold Space Systems used in OverTechnology) which allow them to travel faster than light.

Before The Crash of The Alien Space Fortress in July of 2026 which catapulted Humanity forward hundreds of years in their Technological Evolution, Human Physics at that time only recognized 12 Dimensions while the far more advanced science employed by The Taelons and OverTechnology made use of 16. The Shuttle's Inter-Dimensional Drives allows Faster-Than-Light Travel through one of the other Four Dimensions.

IASA (International Aeronautics and Space Administration) Test Pilots have been quoted as saying in terms of The Shuttle's Performance, "It Lands like a Harrier, Hovers like a Bell Jet Ranger, and Accelerates like a Prometheus Booster."


Service History:

The Type 7 Shuttlecraft was introduced into service in August of 2173 and has been in service ever since as Pan Global Security's Penultimate means of Transportation.

Technical Data:

The PGS ID Shuttle is unlike anything else in use in The World. The PGS's Shuttles are based on a Revolutionary Biological Tri-Polymer and a blend of Technologies from The ConSentiency, and is designed to perform in situations that are considered too hazardous for Standard Military and Support Craft. Among the many features included in it's Design are an Ultra-Aerodynamic Tetraburnium Alloy Hull, Four Retractable Long-Range 1,250 Millicochrane Impulse Drive Nacelles, Parametallic Hull Plating, Unimatrix Shielding, Full-Spectrum Energy Absorption "Cloaking" Methods, Gravity Suppression Devices and Guided Antigravity Beams (Tractor and Pressor Beams), and a Highly Adaptive and Programmable Weapons System, including 500 Megawatt Pulse Lasers and Photonic Multi-Phase Missiles.

Pan Global Security designed their Shuttles to be The Ultimate Multipurpose Vessel built for travel through Space; through a Planetary Atmosphere; Across Water, like a Boat; and as well, are fully Submersible, like a Submarine. In Dive Mode, A Shuttle can travel underwater down to a Depth of up to 1000 Meters (3,280.84 Feet).

Interior:

Entry into The Shuttle is through a large hatch in the rear of the craft. There are benches for additional passenger seating in The Aft (Rear) Section, parallel to the rear walls, with ample room for cargo.

The Compact Ergonomically-Designed Cockpit is built to house The Pilot as well as up to Three Passengers in The Forward Cabin. There is no visible instrumentality since piloting and controlling the craft is accomplished through a intuitive tactile interface involving virtual touchpoints.

Passengers in The Forward Cabin are strapped into Swivel-capable "Indentation Seats" which are designed to fit The Human Body perfectly, and offer complete support and protections during Flight and Landing. To Protect The Shuttle's Occupants from The **** G-Forces that proceed The Jump to Inter-Dimensional Flight, The Shuttle uses Advanced Inertial Dampening Technology to neutralize The Potentially harmful effects of such tremendous acceleration. Each Indentation Seat is also equipped with its own Passive Laser Restraint System as an additional layer of protection. Each seat is also capable of transforming into a life pod which can be ejected in the event of emergency.

Propulsion:

The Shuttle makes use of Variable Aerodynamic **** Field Shaping to allow it to perform extraordinary, High-Speed, Non-Aerodynamic Maneuvers with an ease that no Modern Jet could compete with.


Conventional Drive System: 3 Type 6 Interlinked Thermonuclear Reaction Turbine Engine Blocks with 4 Small Booster Engines and Side Intakes.

The Class F Shuttle is equipped with Conventional Engines that run on a bulk fuel, stored in tanks and fed through Plasticized Tritanium Mesh Lines into The Engine Assembly. This Fuel Mixture is of a particular composition, but The Shuttle could be refueled from other energy sources by a sophisticated conversion process performed by an Experienced Engineer or Pilot. In order to start The Conventional Engines, The Shuttle's Battery System (Solium Energizer) provides an Energy Charge for Ignition. Without Sufficient Energy, The Battery would be unable to start The Engine.

Auxiliary Secondary Power System:

The Shuttle is equipped with a Conventional Cold-Fusion Drive capable of providing 7 Trillion Teradynes of Energy Per Millisecond convertible to any known form of Energy. Note: An overload of The Generator is capable of causing an explosion of Nearly 4 Megatons so The Auxiliary Power System has been designed with the ability to be ejected should the need arise.

However, It should also be noted that The Auxiliary Secondary Power System is just that, An Auxiliary Power System and is not meant for prolonged use but for emergencies only.

It has been suggested that The Shuttle's Cold-Fusion Drive System would be a much better alternative to Solar Power but The Costs involved and The Exotic Nature of many of its components to say nothing of The Biological Synthesis involved in much of Taelon-Based Technology make that an unlikely possibility.


Thrusters:

In Space Flight, The Shuttle is Highly Maneuverable, Dangerously so in inexperienced hands.

  • Function: Impulse, Sub-Light, and Sub-Impulse Sub-Light Maneuvering

The Shuttle is equipped with Extremely Advanced Variable-Geometry Accelerated Fusion-Plasma ("Electro-Plasma") Reaction Control System (RCS) Thrusters with a Steerable Booster Nozzle Arrangement incorporating Both Two and Three-Dimensional Thrust Vectoring with Three Adjustable Exhaust Nozzle Flaps on each thruster (Independent Pivot) to direct the Highly Energized Plasma thereby generating a subspace field that significantly improves propulsion allowing The Shuttle to not only achieve Rapid and Flexible Attitude Control but to attain Unassisted Orbital Velocity over an Earth-Class Planet.

There is a Cluster of 3 Main Thrusters for High Acceleration, and Retractable Reverse Thrusters housed in both The Port and Starboard Cowlings for Rapid Deceleration and Breaking Maneuvers. Its Retractable Drive Nacelles/Landing Struts can be Magnetized to secure The Shuttle on Most Surfaces in Zero Gravity regardless of Composition.


Inter-Dimensional Drive: As stated before, The Shuttle's Inter-Dimensional Drives allows expeditious Faster-Than-Light Interstellar Travel through a previously unknown Dimension.

The Inter-Dimensional Drive when activated allows The Shuttle to open a passage into a Separate Multilayered Neo-Euclidean Tempro-Spatial Sub-Region of "Normal" Space where The Shuttle and its occupants can cover vast distances in an amount of time greatly reduced from the time it would take in "Normal" Space. Once The Point in ID Space that corresponds to its destination in "Normal" Space is reached, It re-emerges.

The Process is still not fully understood by Modern Human Science but The Explanations of why ships can travel Faster Than Light in ID Space vary; ID Space may be smaller than Normal Space or provide a shortcut between two points in Normal Space, thus effectively increasing The Ship's speed by reducing the distance traveled rather than speed, or the speed of light in ID Space may not be The Barrier it is in Normal Space. Whatever The Reasoning, The General Effect is that ships traveling in ID Space seem to have broken the speed of light, appearing at their destinations much quicker and without the shift in time that The Theory of Relativity would suggest.

While in ID Space, Ships are typically isolated from The Normal Universe; Their ability to communicate and interact with or perceive things in Normal Space is limited. Because The Jump to ID Space requires a considerable amount of planning and calculation, with any error carrying a threat of dire consequences, All calculations are left to The Computer's On-Board Artificial Intelligence.

ID Space Travel can be Potentially Dangerous due to the chance that the route through ID Space may take the ship too close to a Celestial Body with a Large Gravitational Field, such as a Star, or a Black Hole. In such scenarios, If a ship passes too close to a Large Gravitational Field while in ID Space, The ship is forcibly pulled out of ID Space and back into Normal Space, or in some instances destroyed. Therefore, Shuttles are programmed with extensive ID Space "Routes" making both calculation and travel faster and less dangerous.

In Appearance, ID Space often appears as a Perpetually Stormy Environment that has a Constant Red Hue but it can also appear in terms of Bright Swirling Colors, Total Blackness, or as something that would drive a human mind insane should it ever be seen. Long Term Exposure to The Conditions of ID Space such as those experienced by Long -Range Interstellar Pilots can result in Nausea, Vertigo, Panic Attacks, and An Overwhelming Feeling of Motionlessness due to the impression that the apparent motion of the craft is not the actual motion as the craft’s instruments would indicate. This combined with the disorienting effects of the constantly flickering and shifting patterns of light and false shadow over time begin to play tricks on The Pilot's Mind, scrambling perceptions of up and down, forward and backward. Some pilots even say it's like being caught in a dream or nightmare from which one can not awaken. Scary Shit Right?

Note: In case of Emergency, The Inter-Dimensional Drive can be jettisoned though this is not recommended while in Inter-Dimensional Space as such action could result in a transition to Null Space an extremely dangerous subspace domain which quickly absorbs all energy within it whether Mechanically or Biologically produced and is nearly impossible to escape from once ensnared.


Autopilot:

The Shuttle is equipped with Two Mk3 Heuristic Expert Piloting/Combat Systems allowing it to Pilot itself in case The Pilot is incapacitated or their attention is required elsewhere and there are Highly Encrypted Governors Built-in to The Navigational System restricting travel to or near certain locations.

The Shuttle's Controls while simple compared those of a significantly less advanced Jet Planes are extremely sensitive and require considerable Finesse, Dexterity, and Hand-Eye Co-Ordination to operate effectively especially under combat conditions which is why most PGS Shuttle Pilots are Female Combat Pilots.

The Pilot's Controls are projected on a Virtual Glass Windscreen and Fully Customizable according to Individual Preference. Each Virtual Control is called a Touchpoint and works through Biometrically-Encoded Tactile Input (I.E., Touch, Hence The Name). The General Layout of The Controls has The Motivators and Navigational Clusters on The Left and Life Support and AntiGrav on The Right. The Controls are quite Intuitive and Respond to intent as much as the advanced tactile interface so focus is essential during operation.
