The Mystic Arts

Mystic artists forge their destinies by cultivating techniques of power. These allow them to collect resolve and cycle it through their bodies, growing in power.

There are a variety of levels for mystic artists. The following are the levels of cultivation before immortal ascension. The "Mortal" Levels.

Resolve Condensation -- This is further broken down into 10 layers. The first layer through tenth layer. Upon reaching the tenth layer, the cultivator can break through to foundation establishment. While this level does not directly extend your lifespan, it allows mystic artists to make use of life-extension techniques and medicines.

They have the power level of a superhuman. At lower levels they are Olympic athletes. At the tenth layer they would be able to throw cars one-handed and smash boulders with their fists.

Foundation Establishment -- Further broken down into Early stage, Middle stage, Late stage, and Great circle

These are true cultivators of the martial way, and have the power to crush tenth layer Resolve Condensation disciples with ease. In lower level sects, they will have positions of authority and power. When a mystic artist breaks through to Foundation Establishment, their lifespan doubles. Most foundation establishment experts can expect to live to two hundred with simple life extension techniques.

Core Formation -- Further broken down into Early stage, Middle stage, Late stage, and Great circle

Core formation cultivators are as far above Foundation establishment as foundation establishment is above resolve condensation. In small sects, they will be ancestors, or matriarchs. In larger sects, they will be grand elders.

Nascent Soul -- Further broken down into Early stage, Middle stage, Late stage, and Great circle

These are the highest grade of cultivators below divine ascension. One who reaches this level can overturn mountains with a wave of their hand. Armies mean nothing. Kings and queens must speak softly in their presence. At this level, they are capable of being ancestor or matriarch to a large sect. Some are even in communication with their elders, who have reached even higher levels of the mystic arts.
