The Lovers

As you stare at the card your vision begins to blur. Blinking to clear your eyes you suddenly find yourself standing in a vast field, the blades of grass soft against your bare feet. You were nude and a gentle breeze caressed our body.

Strangely you were not afraid of this new surrounding, you were not confused, you were only happy.

You feel a deep joy the likes of which you had never experienced before. Tears of bliss and wonder stream from your eyes. To either side of you are the naked figures of the card made flesh. They come together and embrace. They kiss the kiss of true love.

You cast your gaze skyward and smile at the angel looking down upon you. The angel looks upon you with kindness and tenderness. You could feel his pure and brilliant love for you and you returned it.

"Ohhh...what is happening?" You sigh. The question seemed wrong to ask but you felt you must.

The angel speaks without moving his mouth, his divine voice filling your mind with a pleasurable warmth. "You have drawn The Lovers. You shall be a **** of intimate personal love and inner strength and harmony in the world for as long as you possess our gift. Your voice shall remind people of their true love, your sight shall remind them of what is beautiful in the world and in their lives, your spirit shall remind them that every person possesses a soulmate somewhere in the world, and your sex will awaken in them their true dreams and desires. No ugly emotions or jealousy shall accompany you as your love is pure. You will bring hope to the hopeless and joy to the joyless. Love, romantic love, the intimate love of one individual to another, is the fire that lights the universe. You shall be a beacon of that flame in a faded and tired world."

Tears continue to flow as his celestial voice flows through you. All you can manage to say is. "...thank you...thank you...thank you..." You were utterly overwhelmed in your love and gratitude for this wondrous moment.

The angel's singing voice continues. "When the time is right you shall pass on the card to another."

You never wanted this feeling to end! You reach up to him...

You blink and find yourself sitting on your balcony once more staring at a blank card. You were gasping for breath and you could feel the wetness of tears on your cheeks. What was that!? Looking over to your coffee you wonder if it had been spiked with DMT or something.

That had to be a hallucination but...the feelings. Oh what feelings! That moment had been indescribable and indelible. You knew then that whatever had just happened you would never ever forget that intense feeling of love.
