Cobalt City’s youngest defender hunched over his police channel scanner, starring as the frequencies flickered one after another in search of a transmitting signal. The soft electronic hum emanating from the device was suddenly drowned out by the sound of Cobalt City Police dispatch. Max listened intently.

“Attention nearby units, 459-S reported at the CC Museum of Natural History, 340 East Brook Boulevard,” the dispatcher calmly stated.

Max quickly began to sift through a sea of police codes, trying to uncover what 459-S meant. A few short seconds later, the scanner came back to life as officers replied.

“10-4 dispatch, Unit 216 responding.”

Before the correspondence concluded, the Cobalt Guardian sprung to action. Racing towards the museum in efforts to address a silent alarm being tripped.
