The Lady Bryana of Carse

“What will the night guard do to us?” Rae asks the blonde prisoner seemingly genuinely concerned as Sandra fully gets into character. “Method acting” you think it's called, or maybe it's something more deep in the buxom brunette's psyche?

“They can't despoil me. Can they?” When you don't immediately reply Sandra sheepishly reminds you, “I thought I was to have special treatment.”

Rolling the dice, pretending to let them decide from some non-existing table, you stall for time. “'That doesn't mean they won't be bored and demand some entertainment.' The **** answers, 'Considering you're by far the most beautiful and shapely woman in these cells, and your master has left you in but a loincloth, there is no doubt who will get most of the attention this night.'”

“I cover myself with my arms as best I can.” Sandra blushes, you guess out of genuine modesty and hopefully a bit out of your somewhat disguised praise of her own real beauty. “What did he make you do?” The cleric asks the young golden hair ****.

“He made me dance for my meal.” You have the **** woman answer as you wonder how far you should push the eroticism of this scene before adding. “And other humiliations.”

“You don't mean?” Sandra's eyes go wide.

“There are many ways depraved men can amuse themselves and still keep a woman technically a virgin.” You have the nearby **** grimly state as you watch the brown-eyed beauty nervously twirl a strand of her hair with her finger. “'But I am being rude.' The blonde hair woman gives a **** smile. 'I am Bryana, former Lady of the City of Carse. I was accused of attempting to seduce a Royal Vizier, so my lands were forfeited and I am condemned to the auction block.'”

“Were you lovers?” Sandra immediately asks with empathy in her eyes.

“Um.” You stutter, surprised by such a question that your male players would never ask, as your thoughts race putting together an NPC's backstory in seconds. “Yes, we were very much in love but when his parents found out that I wasn't even of baronial rank they accused me of wantonness and bribed the earl to get rid of me.”

“Then you must be freed!” Sandra declares. “By the great Saint Cuthbert I swear I will see you liberated from this evil.”

“But . . . you're going to be freed in three days?” You break character surprised by Sandra's answer and resolve. “Rae just has to ride this out and she will be free and back with the party.”

“I can't let this poor woman be enslaved simply because she fell in love.” The Librarian Science major is most instant.

“Okay.” You immediately back down. “You're lawful good, after all. I guess you could try to get the group to buy her but you don't have much money. If you want to go on the offense - Since you're a cleric and get your spells from meditation you will have two 1st and one 2nd level spells ready by the time the night guard arrives, though remember you lack any components.”

“And you said,” Sandra excitedly adds, clearly getting into the challenge and the story, “that since I am the most beautiful woman on the ship, and topless in this skimpy loincloth, that I could easily distract the guards?”

How Ms. Morelli can say such a sexually charged statement with such innocence is simply staggering. “Um . . . yeah. . . . There is no doubt about that.” You try not to look at Sandra's chest as your thoughts wander. “But this could get dangerous for the priestess.”

“I will do whatever it takes to free this poor woman.” Sandra unequivocally proclaims. “Even if we have to trade places.”
