The Invitation

The next morning, I awoke to find that a black envelope had been slipped under the door of my apartment sometime during the night.

"Interesting" I thought, as I picked up the small envelope from the floor. It was glossy black and had a MG monogrammed onto the front. “Must be from Amanda.” I carefully opened the envelope and read the card it contained:

Miss Samantha Collins,

You are cordially invited to dine with Master Marcus Grey and friends.

Saturday Oct 17th Cocktails at 6 PM.

Dress: Black

“That was quick,” I thought. “Dress black. I wonder what that’s all about?” This was definitely getting interesting.
