The Impossible Happens

Soaked to the bone the pair of you pull yourselves up onto shore panting and heaving, happy to be alive. On your hands and knees you crawl to a nearby clear area. You suddenly feel something twitch and move in your underwear! It was long and firm and it wasn't you!

Looking down to your pants you see the slick writhing black tail of some long bodied fish or snake or something sticking out of the top of your pants. You totally lose your cool and begin shrieking and grasping at it.

"Ah! Ah! Ah! What the fuck it is? It's going for my balls! Help!" You grasp and clutch at its slippery tail, your hands unable to find purchase on its slimy body. "Eeeeee! It's a fuckin electric eel! It's gonna zap my dick off!" You grab at it with both hands and try desperately to jerk it upward. You jerk and jerk and jerk, pulling it with all you had. "Oh! Ah! Eee!" You scream. You are thrashing on the ground at this point, the slithering body of the creature pressing and moving between your leg and balls. "Help! Help! Oh my god!" You are finally able to wrench the thing free, you fling it away from you with all your might, it's thin wiggling dark form flying into the bushes.

"Oh thank god..." You gasp in relief. "...I thought my willy was going to be fish food! Like a worm..."

Your moment of calm is short lived however as you look toward your companion. She is still on her hands and knees but she is spasming...convulsing. Something was wrong!

You sit up, your eyes wide with concern. "What's wrong Soo-yin!? What..." It takes you a moment to realize what was happening. You saw it but you couldn't believe it.

She was laughing. She was actually laughing! Cold, controlled, disciplined Soo-yin was doubled up with gut wrenching laughter. In your year and a bit together you had never seen this. You had barely even seen her truly smile. She had this thing she would do sometimes where she would 'smile with her eyes', as you called it, when she was amused or had made a wry comment...but never anything close to this.

"Ha ha ha ha ha!" She rolls over onto her back, holding her sides and stomach. "Ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

Her head tilts up and her eyes are tight shut, her smiling mouth open wide as gales of laughter pour forth from deep within. She continues to hold her aching sides as she laughs and laughs and laughs. She just can't stop herself.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

You slump down on your butt beside her and get drawn into the mirth. You begin chuckling yourself, realizing how ridiculous you must have looked just now. Her laughter is infectious and soon the pair of you are rolling on the ground in hysterics. It is a long shared cathartic release. For just this one wonderful moment the fear and stress of your predicament completely melts away.

Eventually the guffaws and giggles subside. Soo-yin clears her throat and sits up, her hard exterior shell comes up once more. Getting up as if nothing had happened she wipes the tears from her eyes and states coolly. "Ahem. We should press on."

You just smile and nod.
