The Easy Way

Ella looks back at the window again, an evil grin appears as she considers the **** and how good it will feel to get some.

Looking over the edge of the window to the street below, things are pretty quiet in the street and she might just be able to get away with it.

First go the stacks of magazines, gracefully they flutter to the ground below, soon followed by the boxes of crap, a couple of chairs, the microwave and bags of clothes. it is all gone in a matter of minutes, the rush and freedom Ella feels is incredible and it feels like the bad mood that's been following her around for a week has finally gone.

She is just throwing the last bag of clothing out the window when she notices her ex's car sitting next to the pile below.
Ella jumps as the front door slams open, Derek the asshole strides into the room.

"the fuck you crazy bitch, I told you I was coming around to get it" Shouted Derek

"go fuck yourself and get the fuck out of my apartment, I told you to get it while I was out and you agreed to-"

"You crazy bitch you didn't have to throw it out the fucking window" Interrupted the asshole.

"you get the hell out, I don't want you or your shit in my apartment" angrily Ella shoved Derek in the chest making him stumble back a step.

"don't you fucking touch me bitch"

Ella and Derek struggled but after a few moments of Ella's attempts to push Derek out the door, something snapped in Derek and he backhanded Ella across the face, splitting her lip and knocking her to the ground.

"ohmygosh" Ella and Derek both turn in surprise to see a young woman with blue hair, tattered jeans and a black leather jacket looking in through the doorway.

It was Trinity, Ella's next door neighbor, stickybeaking as usual I guess, she had practically front row seats to the arguments the past couple of days from her apartment next door through the thin walls.

Derek looks at his hand and Ella's face and says "FUCK" and storms out of the apartment.

Trinity rushes over to help Ella up and brings a tissue for the split lip.

"Are you ok? you want me to call the police or something? I've got a baseball bat too?"

Ella thought about what to do next...
