Chapter 3

You go to
The Cockpit
There are two seats here, one large display screen and endless buttons and switches on the ships control panel. From the large window in front you can see the endless space outside, and your green and blue planet.
Luckily for you, here is also Rusty, your trusty droid. He is an old model and you haven't the slightest idea what his original job was, but he was reprogrammed and now he knows how to make this ship work.
He can understand what you say, but sadly he can't speak. Luckily he can display messages when he is connected to a display.
From here you can open the energy shields (it is so easy that even you know how to do it), to run diagnostics, to access the galactic internet (as long as you are close to a planet with access), to choose a destination for a hyperspace jump, to run sensor scans, and obviously to pilot the ship.
You suppose you will learn how to sooner or later. You will download the instruction manual once you have access to the galactic internet (aka G.I.). You can't wait to do that, as it will be the first time you will have the chance to learn things about the world. The real world.
When you bought the Space Coffin, you also bought the navigation data needed for a hyperspace jump to a trading planet in a nearby system. This planet will be the first stop for your great career.
The planet Kalden, of the Relknian system!
