“She’s mine, too,” Melody says with the edge of a smirk that she quickly hides.

But despite her efforts, it doesn’t go unnoticed by the rest of the group. “Ooh, that was a naughty look,” Dinah says. “Has she been letting you have a little fun with her on the side?”

“Well, that depends on what you mean by ‘fun’,” Melody hedges. “She won’t sleep with anyone who can’t beat her in a match—and since the last time anyone ever did that was years ago, she pretty much gets her rocks off in the ring. But she has been teaching me a few tricks here and there,” she adds slyly.

“Well, now I’m really eager to see your next match,” Angelica says, and a titter runs through the group as the game draws to a close.
