Does Texas Persue?
The Carriage Comes First.
As tempting as it was to go after the bandit, the sheriff's job first and foremost was to protect the citizens of her town. With a heavy sigh, Texas watched Roxxie ride into the distance, before the weasel waved to the stagecoach crew, giving them the all-clear. In a quick hour, the horses were hitched back to the carriage and the gold loaded up, the carriage resuming its journey.
The rest of the day was fairly uneventful for the sheriff as the stagecoach completed its long trip to the next town, where Texas departed and said her farewells to the crew, who graciously lent her a horse to get home. However, Texas wasn't sure she was done just yet. Roxxie still had hideouts in the area, and there were a few hours of daylight left. The sheriff still had work to do.
