The Captain

"We are about to pull into the harbor" the captain says muffled by the wood door "You might want to get up".

You stand up hunched over because of the ceiling. Your back hurting from the strain. Particularly from being crammed into a room designed from people half your height for most of your journey, It will be good to get out into the open air.

You start to pack up you limited possessions; you first grab your sword, the last thing your father gave you before he died, he made the sword for you, when you were planing on only heading south for adventure and to maybe meet you mothers family if possible, not live there.

"Take this and be safe" He told you just before he got into his last fight "But use it only if you have too"

You study the sword like you just got it three seconds ago, its of a simple design, bright steel, sharp edge, its only real notable feature is like with you, it's size. The blade is over 6 feet long with the blade being thick enough to compensate for the length, and while too large for normal people it's perfect for you, a benefit which in your eyes makes it better than any enchanted sword. Next you pack up your coins, something you still find odd, never seeing them before coming south.

"Do I have enough for awhile"? You think to yourself not knowing the going price of anything.

Looking down you have a small collection of coins, scooping them up you put them in a pocket you kneel down to look under the bed, which was way to small for you so you have slept on the floor, reaching under you grab your case, which has only a bottle ale from your home and some loose items. You then straighten back out as much as you can and head for the door.

"Finally I will be able to get off this gods forsaken ship".

You open your door in time to see the old captain going down the cramped hall knocking on further doors, he has been stopped by a corpulent man who is now chatting angrily with him almost yelling, shrugging it off you climb up to the main deck. The sun is rising on the horizon and it starts coloring everything slightly orange. You sigh happily as you finally stretch out and straighten your neck, and relaxing on the rail you gaze out upon the port city you have come to, at last Itheria....
