Chapter 5
What's next?
The Butterfly Effect
Rule 5: If the number of children is written within the next 40 seconds of writing the person's name, it will happen.
To use the New Life Note properly, John need to know its limits, and that meant experimentation.
Thinking briefly, he prepared to write a name into the New Life Note. Envisioning the cruel spirited blonde's face as he lowered his pen.
However, before he could put pen to paper John was distracted by the chime of a received text message. Glance at his phone, he found that he had just received a text from Megan Wilder, the student council president, reminding everyone that March the 8th was International Women's Day.
Thinking of the attractive brunette with her dazzling smile and never die attitude, he inadvertently wrote_ 'Megan' _into the New Life Note.
"Oops." John realizes his mistake. Well, since the damage was done he decide to go ahead with his experiment penning 'Impregnated by Arthur.' Using the name of the school's much abused punching bag. A timid victim of a man in need of a lucky break from an endless cycle of being thuggishly bullied.
A few moments later John added _'...within the next 24 hours.' _Since he considered it a real possibility the New Life Note could take years to bring the two together.
Leaning back, he put his pen down. Now there was nothing to do but wait.
