Chapter 7 by Deadedge Deadedge

What's next?

The Arrangement

Wonder Woman was mostly herself again, her clean hands in front of her on the table. There was still a lingering sheen of your sticky leavings around her mouth but everybody was ready to ignore that for now.

“Nobody else knows?” you asked. Tina nodded as she tapped busily on the bench console, apparently writing a report.

“Need to know basis,” the doctor corrected, not looking up.

“Batman knows. Superman knows. That’s it,” Wonder Woman said. You thought about this, and the full weight of where you were finally began to sank in. This place was headquarters of the Justice League. Superman and Batman and Wonder Woman were all here.

“They don’t know you’re here though,” Tina said. “Well I suspect Batman has some idea, but he’ll stay out of it as long as you don’t have any secret sordid past that even our people didn’t find out about.” You suddenly felt exposed and conflicted, the idea of being a target of the Batman a terrifying thought to have. You tried to push it out of your mind.

“And Superman?” you wondered.

“He is very respectful of privacy,” Tina explained. You nodded, but aside from that you wondered many other things.

“So, they know… but … they can’t help?” you tried. Tina sighed and continued typing.

“Superman’s Kryptonian biology is unsuitable,” she said.

“And he is spoken for,” added Wonder Woman pointedly. You frowned, trying to think, then remembered prize winning reporter Lois Lane. Really? Over Wonder Woman? You considered things and… well you could almost see it. Ehh...

“Right. Big blue boyscout,” Tina said flatly. You looked over to Diana and she didn’t seem the least bit bothered. “And Batman is a healthy guy but, he’s busy. And to be honest there are better specimens for this sort of thing than him.”

This made you puff up your chest a bit. The thought of being better for something over Batman, and more suitable for the job than even Superman, was a huge ego boost. But for a moment you couldn’t help but imagine the Trinity… doing their best. Wonder Woman on her knees as she alternated between the Man of Steel’s super cock and the Dark Knight’s dick. Yeah… take it Wonder Whore. Dirty Diana. Wait…

“Your name is Diana?” you asked suddenly, the thought barging its way to the front of your mind at last. Of course she had a name. Wonder Woman wasn’t a real name. You’re not sure why something like this had never occurred to you before.

“Yes,” Diana said, her voice lighter as she gave a small laugh. “Diana Prince.”

“Huh.” You felt like that name was familiar.

“Stop telling people your secret identity,” Tina sighed.

“If he must know this secret then he should know some of my others secrets,” stated Wonder Woman matter-of-factly.

“Isn’t Diana Prince that… diplomat from Themysc...oh…” you started, thinking out loud until the thought completed itself. It seemed super obvious now.

“It isn’t much of a secret, to be fair,” the doctor conceded.

“I guess I’d never given the whole thing much thought,” you said. Then another thought came to mind. Did that mean Superman had a name too? Was he not just Superman all the time?

“What about Superman?” you asked. The women traded glances.

“He’s just Superman,” Diana said.

“Oh.”

“Look you probably won’t even see any other members of the Justice League while you’re here,” Tina said.

“Oh. And how long will I be here?” you wondered. The scientist finally stopped typing and regarded you with a mildly sympathetic air.

“About six months, to start with,” she said. The timescale took you a moment to consider.

“You mean… I’m going to be here… in space… for six months?” you asked, your bathrobe suddenly feeling entirely inadequate.

“Initially…” the doctor confirmed. “We’re sorry but, we need to keep you here. For your safety. And security. We can’t let you go until we fully trust you. Like I said, nobody can find out about this.”

“I… I’d never tell any one!” you exclaimed. And that was true, you weren’t the braggadocious type. Even though this was something amazing to tell your friends about you still had your professionalism. You knew this area of research was sensitive. “I can keep secrets. I’ve never exploited my position or knowledge or betrayed anybody.”

“You might not have a choice,” Wonder Woman cut in. “You could get kidnapped, tortured, mind controlled,” she went on, the terrifying list she was educating you on turning your eyes into saucers. “I… I’m sorry to have burdened you with my problems John, I truly am. All I can do is… apologise for thrusting such a sacrifice upon you.” God… the sincerity of the woman… the beautiful truth in her eyes. It was enough to placate any indignation or offense or even worry in your mind. Who were you to refuse to help Wonder Woman of all people?

“I… okay. I get it. I understand,” you said.

“Thank you, Doctor Doe,” said Diana with a deep nod.

“You’ll also not be permitted to wander around the Watchtower while you stay here,” Tina went on, now that had been taken care of. Again, not great news and you let her know with your frown. “We cannot let other members of Justice League know either, just… to make things easier. They won’t have security clearance for this area. Most don’t even know these lower levels of the station exist. Don’t worry, every modern convenience you could want can be found on the living quarters level. There’s a gymnasium. Pool. Viewing deck. Fully stocked kitchen. You can make your own food, or the Watchtower Guardians can prepare meals for you. The robots. They’re programmed to with the knowledge of 500,000 recipes from 1000 different world cuisines or something like that. There’s a Home theatre. Entertainment lounge. No internet though. But you can continue your own research in my lab. I’ll have to read through any report or data logs you write first, but you can still send those to your colleagues back on Earth once I’ve reviewed them.” Back on Earth. Despite these extenuating circumstance, to be working on a lab in a space station was pretty exciting.

“And look I’ll be here most of the time too,” Tina said. “I have a room in the science quarters but I’ve been sleeping down here most nights anyway. I know the isolation can be tough so I’ll keep you company when I can.” That didn’t sound too bad, admittedly. She was still an idol of yours and you wished to know more about her and her work. You weren’t sure how often she really would be around but it was better than nothing.

“Thank you for understanding, John. Truly,” Wonder Woman reiterated.

“Are you ready for another dose?” Tina asked.

“Yes,” Wonder Woman answered too quickly, but the question was actually directed at you and the Princess of Themyscira blushed at the dropped jaws.

“Yes,” you replied, trying to not sound too eager yourself, and Tina nodded, standing, which made everyone stand.

“I’ll want to take proper readings this time to measure your body’s reaction,” she told Diana, who nodded. “To make sure Doctor Doe really is suitable for this. We’ll use the dosage room.”

“But I don’t-” Wonder Woman started but again Tina was ready for the objection and put a hand up.

“I know, but it’s been built and everything is setup in there right now,” she explained. “It’s late and I’m sure Doctor Doe is tired. I’m tired. We’ll figure out another setup tomorrow.” There wasn’t much Diana could disagree with there, and you still ached from your own busy day prior to you being teleported to the Watchtower. With that settled you were lead deeper into the lab, through another long metal corridor and into another, slightly smaller room.
