The Alliance of the Seven -- Prologue

The Savage Land was a dangerous place in the best of times. With dinosaurs, violent nomads, all kinds of poisonous plants and animals, and all kinds of harsh terrain, the last thing the tribes needed was to feud amongst one another. Beyond that, the mysterious recent appearance of unknown savage mutants were only making things that much worse.

It hadn't always been this way. The oracles and and ancient machines once spoke of a time when the tribes of the Savage Land were far closer, cooperating in supportive (and, more often than not, amorous) relations with each other. Of course, there were always antagonistic tribes and dangers, but the majority of tribes were united.

This all changed when Sir Sinister arrived in the Savage Land. He terrorized the tribes, harvesting the lands' inhabitants for his genetic experiments and slaughtering anyone who got in his way. Although he was eventually defeated by a group of the realms' best warriors, the damage had been done; tribes slowly but surely became more insular and solitary, and now they were becoming increasingly hostile towards one another.

Sensing the danger to their home and its people, a group of the more heroic, well-respected tribes of the Savage Land decided to get together and form an alliance -- with their influence, they hoped to once again restore companionship amongst the other tribes.

To that end, seven tribes -- the A-Vengers, the X-Tribe, the Justice Tribe, the Spider-Clan, the Bat-Clan, the Four, and the Superclan -- would send representatives to the abandoned City of United Tribes to perform an alliance ceremony.
