"Can I ask you something pretty personal?"

Shui turned, concerned, to her friend. "Yeah...?"

"You're gay right?"

Shui was minimally stunned by the question. She hadn't seen that coming, but she wasn't offended nor baffled by the question.

"Yeah, why?"

Sabiyya trusted Shui too much to be too scared to ask her personal questions.

"Would you date someone like me?"

"Yeah, sure," Shui responded both reflexively and honestly.

"Would you... do someone like me?" Sabiyya wrung her hands in anticipation.

Shui opened her mouth as a knowing look spread over her face. She shifted so that she was fully facing Sabiyya.

"Miss Sabiyya," she planted her hands on her hips. "Are you trying to get into my pants?"

Sabiyya regretted her words. "I'm sorry, I made things weird..."

Shui looked off in thought for a moment. "You know, that sounds pretty hot."

"I... what?" said Sabiyya, confused.

"That was what you were going for, right? Or did I just make things super weird?"

Shui chuckled. "Smooth, lover girl. Smooth. Well, I'm up for it," she drew near to Sabiyya. "But where are we going to do it?"
