Teleport to the big city.

The last time you were in Tolis was when you and all the girls went ghost hunting, and a very interesting event occurred on the beach. After that, you, Niki, Amara, and Eva all entered a strange dream state, and you found out a little bit more about your past thanks to Eva's father and Barkis. There was also the whole thing with the fake princess. You remember how large the city felt compared to Avana. Surely you've only seen a fraction of it so far.

Lady Sulta conjures forth powerful magic to open up a portal right before your eyes. Kashura had done something similar, but it seemed different how she performed it. Either way, you can visibly see a the sea of rooftops in the darkness through the opening in space. Wherever this is taking you, it's above a portion of the city. She walks straight through with no hesitation, and then Niki hurries immediately after. You follow suit.

As the portal closes, you gaze around yourself. It's an upper area overseeing the city right at the feet of a giant statue. There are benches where people may sit and observe such a beautiful view, though at this time of night, nobody is present.

"Here we are," she says and raises a finger in the direction of an area with multiple huge structures. "The academy is just over there. I have things to do, but if you ever have business there, I will try to hear your call. I will be rather busy, however."

"So where do we go?" Niki asks. "How do we find the others?"

You scratch your head. "I don't really know. I guess we better get some sleep soon, and then maybe we can ask around. If they're all together, it's a pretty big group. Surely someone will know something."

"Then I best be off for now. Good luck," Lady Sulta says. She raises up a hand and casts another spell. An invisible energy stirs around her. "Fly," she says as her body lifts up from the ground. She floats right off the edge and off into the darkness of the city.

Meanwhile, the two of you are left to go all the way down the stairs.

It's definitely time to sleep by the time you find an inn. Both of you are feeling it. There's one not far from the base of the staircase called, "The Way Inn," which seems to be a rather simple, two-story building. It has beds, which is all that matters right now.

You head inside. There are a few others finishing up meals inside, and a young man sitting on a stool behind the front counter.

When he sees you, he stands up and greets you with a smile. "Hello. Welcome to the Way Inn. Would you like to know why our name is so funny?"

"No. Can we have rooms please?" Niki asks.

"Oh. Yes, of course, ma'am. Together?"

"I--No, no. Two rooms." She looks away from you bashfully. "Maybe next time."

She probably wants some alone time after all that's happened. She might be a tough fighter, but she gets pretty embarrassed when it comes to her emotions.

You both pay and receive a key to your rooms. Up the stairs you go, and Niki proceeds into the room right next to your own. She turns to you as she opens the door, and you're warmed by her smile.

"Good night, Kyle," she says.

"Good night, Niki. Sleep well."
