Talk to Rachel

"Hey...?" You knock at the door to catch the girl's attention, and give her a friendly smile as she turns around to look at you. As always, you're not really sure of how to start a conversation with her, due to the suspicious glare she gives you in return, but has found that there's one way to remain neutral with her at least. "I'm just wondering if you want to clean my room next, or if I got some time to eat before checking out?"

"Yeah, that's fine." She nods, in her drawling accent, which you've yet to place geographically. Her English is perfectly fine though, and she has an accentuation that's fairly typical of the area, so you'd guess she's lived around here for most part of her life. "Just leave your key at the front downstairs, and I'll check your room when you've left."

It's not that she's actually impolite while telling you this, but there's something in her voice that always make you feel like the sooner you leave, the better you'll make her own day. Most likely she's just wanting to quit for the day already, and she may be finished with the rest of her duties before your breakfast.

For this reason there's not much point in trying to chat any further with her at the moment, but at least you've made your presence known to her, and when introducing yourself by name she grumpily replies with her own, though it's also written on a small tag on her chest.
