Take them off, reluctantly.

Amanda may have been easy to distract, but she knew what was what when it came to science. If she was saying I had to get my shorts off, then as much as I didn't like it, I probably had to get them off. Taking a quick look over my classmates, I saw that Ms. Martinez had everyone looking the other way and, with a deep sigh mixing into a frustrated groan, I positioned myself as far back against the shower as I could and hooked my fingers into my waistband. The shorts were breezy, sure, but sliding them off a felt a chill pass up my spine as, just below it, my bare ass hung out in the middle of the science lab. I let them fall to my feet and kicked them off, keeping the front of the safety apron pressed tight to my bare bottom half.

Briefly, I was happy to have them off, because as Amanda snatched the shorts up, I could see the stains becoming... melty? The fabric was stretching and holes were appearing in it as smoke trailed up from them. I didn't get to see what the chemicals would do if they kept going because A) Amanda tossed them into the hazardous waste bin, and B) because Becky chose that moment to tug on the lever to activate the shower.

The cold water hit me with a short shriek, and I could hear murmuring from the seated students. It ran down my head, soaking into my shirt-- which I realized with a start must be turning transparent under the apron-- before trailing down between my bare thighs and down my similarly uncovered legs, soaking into my sneakers before disappearing down the drain underneath me.

"Ms. Martinez?" Becky called, "Have we kept her under long enough?"

"Yes!" I sputtered, "it's been long enough!" With the creaking of the metal pipes ending the rush of water, I was left to stand there in relative silence; soaking wet, bedraggled and annoyed, and naked aside from a pair of shoes, wet white t-shirt, and old black lab apron.
