Chapter 3
by TheSpaceTurtle
What does she decide to do with her day?
Take a walk.
Evelyn scarfed down her breakfast fairly quickly, eager to get out and about as soon as she could. A walk would be nice, she decided - it was sixty degrees Fahrenheit outside, which was perfect for her tastes. She liked it cool-bordering-cold and always had. The summer heat? No, thanks. After she had finished her sandwich, she clicked off the television and ran in to her room. Eve rooted through her clothes, trying on a few articles and admiring herself in the mirror. After twenty minutes, she decided on an outfit - some tennis shoes, a tiny black g-string, tight short shorts (pulled down a little to show the hem of the small pair of panties), and a pink sleeveless spaghetti strap that showed off a sliver of her belly.
Content, Eve made her way back to the living room and fastened on her pair of white tennis shoes. She quickly collected her house key, stepped out of the door in to her third-story apartment hallway, locked it behind her and glanced both ways. It was deserted. She smiled and made her way to the stairs, quickly descending until she was at ground floor. She strolled out in to the lush, green courtyard, noticing the only presence being Ethan, a thirty year old tenant she was very loosely familiar with. He was reading a newspaper on a bench, shaded by the very tall oak tree in the center of the courtyard.
She gave Ethan a second glance, considering going over and talking to him. Then again, she had come out for a walk - not a talk. She didn't particularly have a destination, she realized. Maybe go through the suburbs, down the street to the coffee shop, or -- Hell -- just walk around the apartment block and see if there's anything going on. She even considered putting off her walk and going downtown to scare up a little fun.
Where does her "walk" take her?
