Take a tour

Not entirely comfortable with the way she asked that second question but also not wanting to offend by not doing anything with her you decided on the first option. "A tour would be great." You said. You could tell by a slight shift in her facial expression that she'd been hoping you'd choose the latter but a moment later she perked back up.

"Awesome, let's start at the training field." Violet said grabbing your hand and dragging you along towards the back of the house. Leading you down a simple set of hallways it took only about a minute to reach the back. It became apparent to you that the house was just a part of a larger complex that had been hidden from view by the courtyard's walls. In front you was a square field that stretched 100 meters in every direction, penned off by a fence. To the left of it just about thirty meters away was a pair of identical buildings each with a picture above its door, one with a picture of a scantily clad woman wielding a bow and the other with the image of a woman wearing a horned helmet. Each one was two stories tall and looked wide enough to accommodate a small army. Beyond the field was a simple building with the image of a shield. To the right however there was nothing except what looked like a stick standing up from the ground. Violet started to explain.

"First right here is the training field, its where almost everything happens. Over there are the dormitories. That's where the recruits live, I'm going to be on team Valkyrie so that's where I'll be living. Directly across from us is the armory. The recruits won't get real fitted battle armor until the last week so that's where they'll go to get their temporary stuff. Its not bad but it's not made for vacuum or real weapons so you wouldn't want to send anyone out in it." Violet explained, that part you'd already known, a soldiers armor was an investment of time and resources so it made no sense to give a real set to someone who might drop out of training. The Swiss hated seeing their work go to waste. "The first week of training is for weapons proficiency, you get to try out all the different weapons available and pick which one they like the best. You'll get a spear from there tomorrow. " She turned and pointed to the right. "Over there is where everyone eats, normally we'll have tables and chairs set up but during the first week everyone sits and eats on the ground. No idea why that became a tradition. Let's go and see the inside of the dorm" This time she let you follow under your own power as she led you around the field and into the Valkyrie dorm.

The interior was about what you expected, the room you entered had bunk beds stretching along the walls to the left, ending at the staircase to the next floor up. Each bed had an armor rack and a footlocker next to it for the recruits belongings. "This is where I'm going to be staying. It's going to be pretty empty at first but It'll fill up after a few weeks." She was obviously had a lot of confidence in her mother which you couldn't really argue with considering where you were. A ping from her pocket made her take out her hand held and read it. "Looks like dinners ready. We should get back before we're missed."
