Do you gamble some more? Or admit defeat and leave?
Surely you can win SOMETHING back...
You grit your teeth, and place a few more bets on the last round of gladiators for the day. It probably isn't wise at this point, but you don't want to go home empty-handed. {if Denarii<0}And you can't stomach the thought of being in debt, which could lead bad places quickly.{endif} You bet conservatively, with good odds{if Denarii<0}, and use your name to get some limited credit{endif}. Then you take your seat and pray to Mercury for luck.
As the games end and the spectators begin to file out of the Coliseum, you breathe a sigh of relief. When you collect your winnings, you find that you've won another 5 denarii. You're pretty sure that means that you've just broken even today - not much to show for an entire day spent at the games. Oh well. Such is the risk of gambling...
In the meantime, the sun is headed toward the horizon.
Time to leave.
