It sounded like a good idea. She could really do with lying down for a few minutes, and Devin had already been so nice to her, it would have been impolite to refuse. She nodded, which brought a bright smile - almost a smirk - to his face. Taking her hand, he helped her out of the room. The house still had a bit of an unkempt feel to it, but she paid little attention; everything seemed to be spinning around her, and she was glad to have someone nearby to help her.

She got to the stairs; even looking up was intimidating. "I've got you," Devin whispered from behind her, his lips close to her ear. He had let go of her hand and was guiding her up the stairs, holding her hips to make sure she did not fall. He was so nice to her. They managed to get up without incident, and he led her into one of the darkened bedrooms off to the side.

"Thanks," she slurred slightly, not even taking the time to look around. He nodded and held her close, turning her a bit so he could look her in the eye.

"No problem," he said, leaning in for a kiss.
