Stop and question Trish

Trish has just entered the excessively large living room of her family’s house — mansion might be a better term. Then she goes further, but you stop before entering the room. “Trish, what’s going on? Why did you call me?”

“We’re alone here,” says Trish, sitting on a love seat and gesturing for you to sit next to her. “The rest of the family’s gone until tomorrow night. I’ll explain.” You sit next to her, and she goes on, “You’re probably wondering why you haven’t heard from Jessica for a couple of days.”

“Yes,” you say. “Is Jess okay?”

“She’s having the time of her life, David,” says Trish. “Let me tell you what happened since the last time you saw Jessica. She told you she was going to change the girl suit you had been wearing back into the girl it was made from. But she didn’t!”

Of course, you’d been wearing the suit that had been Trish, so if Jessica hasn’t restored that suit, the girl you’re talking to isn’t the real Trish, but someone else in the Trish suit... “Jessica?” you ask her.

“Usually, David,” she says, but there’s barely a hint of Jessica to her. “Not any more. I’m Trish now, and I’m staying Trish!”

You believe her. “Why don’t you want to be Jessica any more? And I saw someone who looks like Jessica at school, but she was avoiding me. How did you make a Jess suit, and who’s wearing her?”

“I don’t want to be Jessica because it’s better being Trish,” says the apparent Trish. “Now, the Jess suit was easy. If you shoot the brown pen thing at someone not wearing a suit, even at yourself, they grow a suit of themself! So last I was Jessica, I zapped myself to get a Jessica suit, and I zipped it up empty. It gave me a Jessica clone who has to obey me! So since then the Jess clone is being Jessica and I’m being Trish. And that’s why I need your help, David.”

“What do you want me to do, Trish?” you ask her.

“I love you, David,” says Trish. “But now that I’m Trish, I don’t love your body! The body I really want my lover to have is Jessica’s”

“You want to zap me with the brown pen, make a David clone, and have it live as David so I can put on a Jessica suit and be your girlfriend, Trish?” She nods, and you go on, gratified that you figured it out so readily, “Where do we get the Jess suit, and what happens to the Jess clone?”

“I just tell the Jess clone to unzip herself, David,” says the Trish who now considers herself the real Trish. “She’s a suit again, you put her on, you become Jess completely once I zap you with the brown pen.”
