Chapter 19
by reaper13
Stay with her defenders, or try to leave with Sir Klaus?
Stay with the defenders
Liandra believed it to be safest with the defenders. They had sworn to protect here, surely they will keep her safe.
But the battle went from bad to worse. The demons hordes just kept coming and coming, throwing themselves on luxian blades. Eventually all the knights fell prey to exhaustion and were subsequently killed. Liandra herself was grabbed by the demons and carried away. She tried to struggle, but it was to no avail. She did not have the strength to resist them.
The demons brought her to a large hill from which one could overlook the position where the defenders fought. There Liandra found 3 human figures waiting for her. A man and two women.
The man was wearing a steel plated armor that was covered with bones. Liandra could see these bones were both human and non human. Liandra knew for certain this man was a ****-knight.
To his left was a young blonde woman in a revealing red gown. Her clothes would signify she is a demonologist. She was likely the person controlling all these demons. Her figure made her look rather innocent, but when Liandra focused on her eyes, she saw wickedness.
To the mans right was a red haired woman in black leather clothes. These clothes made her seem slutty, but from her posture Liandra could see she was strong and confident. Clearly not someone to mess around with. Liandra had no idea what kind of person this was, but she may find out later.
“Who are you?” Liandra demanded from them.
“My name is Sir Derek Bonecrusher.” The man said. “My blonde companion is Duchess Lilith the wicked, the other one is Baroness Kendra the Blackhand, and we are Nocternian agents.”
Liandra was astonished. “Nocternians? What are you doing here?”
“To be direct, we are here for you.” Kendra said. “We cannot allow you to get married to prince Mortimer.”
“I marry prince Mortimer for the sake of Luxius, Nocternia has nothing to do with it.” Liandra spat back.
“Prince Mortimer is an aggressive person. He has often longed to conquer our nation of Nocternia.” Derek explained. “However he does not have the magical power. Should you marry him, he will have access to the white mages of Luxius, enabling him to start a war with Nocternia, which he shall indulge at. So you see, your marriage has everything to do with the fate of our nation.”
Liandra didn’t know what to say. Could a little princess like her really cause such drastic changes?
Derek turned to the blonde woman. “Lilith, bring the girl to a safe place.”
“With pleasure, sir Derek.”
Lilith grabbed Liandra’s hand and pulled her away. The ranks of demons parted for her, clearly obeying her every whim. Liandra had a really bad feeling about this woman, she just knew she was bad busyness.
What should Liandra do or say?
