Chapter 8 by brambank brambank

What should Leanne do?

Stay quiet

Leanne decided to stay quiet and hope she went undetected. From her vantage point she could see the residents sit the young man on a chair as he continued to protest through his restraint. "Oh relax," hushed one of the old women. "This will all be over soon."

They placed a small glass bottle under the noise of their captive which emitted some kind of strange odour. Within seconds he once again became placid and stopped his frantic gesturing towards the cupboard. Leanne breathed a silent sigh of relief and stared on. Afraid of what she was watching but unable to look away.

As one of the residents removed the man's gag another took a huge ladle from the mysterious cooking pot. There was an oddly coloured liquid inside and it smelt foulsome. Carefully they brought it towards the man, held in place by the thick leather straps. "Open wide, honey." instructed the old woman with the spoon. "This won't hurt a bit."

"But you might get a little tingling sensation," added another. The three old women began cackling manically.

As the prisoner's mouth was **** open the old lady poured the contents of her ladle down his throat. Ensuring every drop went where it was intended. "That's it," she whispered. "Swallow."

As the odorous substance flowed inside the young man he seemed to awaken and leave his trance. 'Maybe they're helping him?' pondered Leanne hopefully. However seconds later he began thrashing violently where he sat. Thrusting his naked body still held in place by his restraints. Suddenly his whole body began to glow. Faintly at first but becoming brighter and brighter with each passing second. The intense glow began to focus into a ball in the man's chest before rising up his throat and forcing its way out through his mouth.

With the sphere of light entering the room the three old women began cackling once more. Causing the orb to glow even more intensely. It filled the room causing Leanne to shield her eyes. When she looked back the three old women stood looking suddenly refreshed while the young man had been replaced by the shrivelled figure of a man well into his 80s.

"That should keep us going for a little longer," declared one of the pensioners.

"What should we do about the girl?" asked another. Leanne's eyes widened at this. Had they noticed her?

"Leave her for now," replied the first old lady. "We can use her later."

The three residents began to leave, still chuckling happily to themselves. Leanne wasn't sure what was happening or what they meant when they mentioned the girl. Surely it was about her. She had to get out of there.

However as Leanne stepped cautiously from her hiding place she heard the door close followed by a key turning and a click. She was locked in.

What should Leanne do?
