Stay inside and wait.

"We stay." Said Katarina firmly. "We wait here, at least for a while." She walked over to one of the demon corpses, and grabbed the creatures short sword.

"Here." She handed the weapon to Gilly.
"I don't know how to use that!" Gilly exclaimed, frightened.

"Just swing it." Katarina replied. "It's better than nothing. Let's get you some new clothes." She looked through the window at the rain outside. "We wait until the rain stops. and then we run. It's not safe here. Wait for my command, and run with me to the little forest behind the village."

Gilly wanted to protest, but Katarina's commanding aura stopped her. She nodded. Katarina had just saved her life. Or maybe even more. Her dignity and sanity. She decided to trust her childhood friend.
