Starting the psychological

Darien: I woke early in the morning and smirked at the list of messages waiting for me. Some were the usual spam and other nonsense. Another few from hopefuls that wanted to be my pets. But the larger part of them came from the slut that I had met the other day. My lips curled into a vicious grin. I could start working on her now, of course, but I wanted to take it slowly. She wasn't quite at the point where she would accept coming to live with me, but it wouldn't be too long, once I set my hooks into her.

I looked over to my phone and smiled wider. She'd called me, too. The pathetic creature couldn't WAIT to become my little plaything, but she would learn patience. My plans hadn't finalized, yet, but when they did... she would certainly not be wholly human anymore.

I listened to the messages and deleted them all, after debating how I would have responded had she been in the room. I read over the emails and laughed softly, copying them into a text document for later study of her future mindset. I then removed those from my inbox as well and prepared to ignore her for a few more days. The time would come when she would be begging for my acknowledgment... and I would give it to her. Whether she decided that it had truly been what she wanted or not was entirely irrelevant.

I picked up the phone and called her number, knowing that she wouldn't be available, and left her a message, purring wickedly. "I've been around. Where have you been?" I put a hint of frustration in my voice. "You weren't at the club as we agreed. I was waiting there for hours. If you cannot keep your appointments..." I smile darkly, knowing she can't see it and leave the statement hanging in the air while heaving a deep and deliberate sigh into the phone, before hanging up.
