Chapter 5 by Sorenus Sorenus

What aspect of Spiritualist society would you like to learn?

Spiritualist Families

The ability to see and interact with spirits is one that can be passed down through blood. As such, many spiritualists come from traditionally spiritualist families. These families are often wealthy and important even outside of the spiritualist world, due to the length of time of which they've had spiritualists and the help of spiritualist powers in accumulating wealth.

Spiritualist families have different classifications and rankings.

A spiritualist family may be either Aristocratic, Noble, or Royal-Aristocratic spiritualist families have at least 10 spiritualists within the family, and at least 1 is an Elite Spiritualist. Noble spiritualist families have at least 10 spiritualists, and have either at least 1 Spiritualist King, plus at least two more Elite Spiritualists, or they have at least 1 Spiritualist King Prime. Royal Spiritualist Families have at least 20 spiritualists. Of these 20, at least 7 are Elite Spiritualists or above. At least 3 of these 7 must be spiritualist King Primes or above. And at least 1 person must be of Spiritualist Emperor rank or above.

Additionally, a family may rank as Elder or Ancient. Elder families have been around for at least 500 years, and have produced at least 5 Spiritualist King Primes or above. Ancient families have been around for at least 1000 years, and have produced at least 10 Spiritualist King Primes or above, and at least 3 Spiritualist Emperors or above.

Finally, a family may classify as a family, a household, or a courtship. A family is just that-a spiritualist family. A household is a family to which at least 3 other spiritualist families have sworn fealty to. A household must be of at least Noble rank. A courtship is a family that at least 6 families have sworn fealty to. Of these 6 families, at least 1 must be a household. Courtships must be at least of Noble Rank, and elder status.

It is important to note that in order to classify as a spiritualist family, a family must be either Aristocratic, Noble, or Royal, but they do not have to be of Elder or Ancient age.
