Spiral

As bad as Marionette's robots were, their attacks had only been sporadic so far, mostly just robberies. Miss Black felt like more of a matter for the police to handle. Spiral, on the other hand, seemed like a very big threat. The number of hypnotism victims matching their M.O. had nearly doubled in the last two weeks. Whoever they were, they were obviously in possesion of either high level psionic superpowers or high tech devices, both of which were incredibly dangerous.

With your target in mind, you take down a few of the news articles on Spiral then move over to the clunky laptop you keep on hand for research purposes. Scouring old new articles for Spiral and hypnotism related attacks, you began to put together a profile.

Spiral's targets were seemingly random at first, a babysitter, a businessman, a gym teacher. A pattern quickly became evident though, since all these people shared a commonality of being someone capable of showing authority over others. Further research into each victim showed another common thread, they all seemed to **** their power. The babysitter's Facebook page was filled with her bragging about getting away with stuff by blaming it on the kids she was watching. The businessman's secretary had quit a week before the incident over workplace harassment. The gym teacher had been suspended with pay for a month for partaking in hazing practices.

Furthermore, looking at the locations the victims were last seen at before getting kidnapped, you were able to draw out about a mile and a half wide circle on a map. It was likely the criminal was operating somewhere within this radius. Gazing upon the map, you notice towards the center is a set of abandoned warehouses. It wasn't exactly the most subtle place for a supervillain to operate out of, but sometimes the simplest answer was the solution to the puzzle.

A few hours later you had geared up and snuck your way across town to the warehouse were you suspected Spiral was operating out of. You couldn't exactly fly, rather you leaped and swung across rooftops via grappling hooks, a required tool for a gadget-using hero.

Dropping down into the lot the warehouses were located, you glanced around. No sign of any activity, no obvious lights in any of the warehouses. Still, a lead was a lead. At the very least you could check this place of your list after a bit of snooping. So you approach the first warehouse, pulling open the door and stepping inside.

"Huh....you're not who I was expecting," A voice called out, causing you to take a combat stance, "Here I was thinking I'd get a nosy cop who'd watched too much CSI and decided I was right at the center of the big circle."

Looking around, you couldn't see anyone, nor could you pinpoint the source of the voice thanks to the echo. For all you knew, the voice could be coming from a speaker. There was one thing you knew based on the voice, Spiral's age and gender...
