Chapter 3 by LostandLovesIt LostandLovesIt

Does Jenny call Dawn?

Spend more time with Mom

"You know," Jenny said, stirring the few leafy remains of her salad around in the bowl, catching a few droplets of oil, "I had plans to help Dawn with chemistry, but we could hang out if you want."

"That sounds nice, but I don't want to interrupt your studies, especially if you're helping a friend." Mary replied, pleased that her daughter was looking out for her childhood friend. She knew the two of them, as well as Dawn, all planned on going to the same university together. It was good to see that they were working as a team to get there.

"Oh it's fine, we can move it to tomorrow. It's no rush. We've got like...a week." Jenny had to admit, she didn't mind her mother stealing inspiration from her own style. She looked good. Better than she had in some time. Besides, she only had so much time with her before she was leaving home. Why not spend more of it together?

"Well in that case, I'm sure we can find something on Netflix to watch."

"Sure! Want help cleaning up?" Jenny offered, swallowing the last of the greens in her bowl.

"That'd be great!" Mary replied with a smile, starting to clear the table.

After a little chit-chat as the two women cleaned up, they started to move to the living room. "You know what?" Mary said, "why don't we watch it in my room? The bed will be a lot cozier than the couch and besides, neither of us will have to go far if we decide to end the night here."

"Yeah!" Jenny replied, "that sounds perfect!"

"Well why don't you head up and I'll meet you there."

Jenny headed off, and Mary couldn't help but notice the enticing fullness of the young lady's bottom in the skin-tight lower end of the romper she wore. What she couldn't wear to school she wore out, and while Mary was uncomfortable with some of her daughter's fashion choices, at least she always stayed in contact, always went everywhere with friends, and didn't let herself be too distracted by other boys her age. She supposed that was a good thing as she walked into the pantry and pulled a bottle of white wine. Sure, she'd had a few boyfriends, but right around the end of her sophomore year all of that stopped. Mary chalked it up Jenny setting her sights on higher education. She couldn't blame her, and she was sure she'd meet plenty of men of a better caliber than she'd find at high school.

Mary grabbed a glass, had a thought, smiled a little, grabbed a second, and headed up to her room to join her daughter.

Jenny was curled upon the right side of the bed, remote in hand as she flicked through the streaming service's offerings. She looked over as her mother walked in, her eyes lighting up at the sight of the bottle and TWO glasses. She'd only ever been given **** during holiday dinners, and her friends kept their distance from the kids who brought drinks to parties, so this was something. Maybe hanging out wiht her mom wasn't so bad?

"Find anything?" Mary asked, setting everything down on her dresser before opening the bottle.

"Ummmm...what are you in the mood for? There's a few dumb comedies I wouldn't mind watching, but they've also picked up 'Lindsey's Wish.'"

"I remember hearing about that. What's it about?" she replied as she began to pour.

"It's won a LOT of awards. Apparently it's a really good romantic drama. You in the mood for that?"

Mary thought it over as she took a sip. "Sure, couldn't hurt."

"OK," Jenny replied, starting the program as her mother handed her a glass of wine that caught the glow of the soft bedside light.

Mary stepped into the walk-in closet, peeling the sweater dress off, the leggings coming off next. Jenny found her eyes creeping over away from the screen to watch her mother. Blemishes were few and far between on that soft, creamy skin. The older woman didn't notice her daughter's gaze as she popped the hooks on her bra, letting her breasts relax, sagging a little with age. The nipples were still thick and pointed out, a gentle pink. When Mary turned around to grab a baggy night shirt, Jenny quickly turned herself back to the film, taking a sip of the wine, enjoying the warm dryness.

"Staying dressed?" Mary asked as she climbed onto the bed to recline in the center.

"I would change, but I'm already comfy, and besides," she said, laying her head on her mother's shoulder, "now you're here."

"That's sweet of you," Mary said, rubbing her daughter's smooth, bare thigh.

As a smoky set of notes played over the opening title, Jenny found herself inching herself closer to her mother, cuddling up on the bed.
