Sowing

When you wake up you are sticky, sore, and hung over, your mouth dry and foul-tasting. You are lying back in you chair with your pants around your ankles, shirtless, and with long-dried cum all over your stomach, chest, and you think some may have hit the wall behind you.

Damn.

You pull your pants up and awkwardly try to make it to the tiny bathroom outside your door without being spotted. Luckily the corridor is empty. Looking at yourself in the mirror, you look awful. Bags under bloodshot eyes, a trickle of dried blood trailing from your nose to your upper lip, a white sediment coating your tongue. You do what you can to clean up in the sink, and drink what feels like a few liters of water to get the horrible taste out of your mouth. What happened? How long were you asleep?

You return to your office and for a brief moment you panic as you realize you don't know where the QEBP is. Then you see it in ball form rolled into a corner. You go pick it up and consider the device. You're not sure what exactly happened towards the end there with Viv. You remember feeling this strong urge, and you... did something. To her. To yourself. It was intense and amazing and trippy, but you can't remember any details. You hope she's okay.

Realizing you could always check in on her, you focus on the QEBP and are about to call for the roster, when it suddenly reacts. It's not really speech, it's not really text, but it's giving you a message, straight into your brain. It goes something like

Oh wow. Okay. You think you just leveled up? And there are at least three more levels to go? The whole premature sync 5 thing must be why you woke up with a nose bleed and can't remember what happened.

QEBP modularity... For some reason, you think you know what that is and how it works. You hold up the QEBP with one hand and gently pinch it with the other. Slowly, you move your hands apart, and a piece of the blackish material is pulled out and snaps off. You now hold two QEBPs in your hands, one large and one small. Weighing them in both hands, you know exactly what to do.

You find your shirt and backpack, and leave the office. Locking the door behind you, you make your way to the elevators. You ride it to the lobby, where you realize it's nighttime. Looking at your phone, it's 4:30 am. Damn, you were knocked out cold.

You go to the fancier elevators that serve the upper floors and enter one. You take out the smaller QEBP and press it against the brass >< button. You focus, and will it to take the shape and texture of the button, and watch as it seemingly melts into a perfect replica that covers the button completely. Stepping back, it doesn't look any different from the other buttons.

You smile as you head out the lobby to go home and get some real sleep.
