Slumber Party

Emma met her cousin's puppy dog eyes with a wide smile of her own. She knew that had Jenny gone to a regular school, instead of being home schooled, her younger cousin would have easily been able to manipulate most boys, and maybe even a teacher or two.

"Fine, just let me grab a few things before bed then we can have our little sleep over." Emma said before her squealing cousin trapped her in a bear hug.

"This makes me so happy!" Jenny squeaked.

Once she was released, Emma went back to Jake's room and got ready for bed, then she hastily returned to Jenny's room.

The pair stayed up gossiping about celebrities, sharing stories of past experiences with boys, and laughing. Aunt Maude had to tell them to be quiet and go to bed from her room at the end of the hall more than once.

Finally the girl's settled down and went to sleep. Emma, in the top bunk, watched shadows play over the ceiling in the moonlight as she slowly drifted off.
