Slaves rowing but not exactly what she expected.

Rebecca cracked the door and her jaw dropped at the sight. Rows and rows of naked women pushed and pulled at the oars. She heard a crack and quickly looked to see a man dealing a harsh blow with a whip to one slaves back. The brunette cried in agony as she pulled harder at the wooden oar she was chained too.

Rebecca's first reaction was to turn and run but she slowly calmed herself to observe the operation. She estimated fifty to seventy-five slaves where down in the galley.
