World

The world is harsh and uncaring, with a multitude of races, each with their own behavior, desires, and loyalties. The Idrisids currently rule supreme on the main continent, but soon the orc hordes will begin their biannual migration from East to West, rampaging through the countryside, razing and **** everything in their path. In the Southern isles, the lizardmen plot to turn the world into their jungle, and conquer it with fire and blood. The Elves in the North watch the petty squabbles of the mortal realm, their numbers too few to risk open conflict but with their life spans lasting centuries, they make terrible enemies. Goblins infest every corner of this continent save the North and Southern isles, their race harder to exterminate than cockroaches despite their reproduction depending on female brood mothers enslaved from other species. The Dwarves cling to their mountains in the South, with nothing more than steel and pride keeping their fortresses together despite near constant attacks from goblins, orcs, and lizardmen.

And humans, oh the humans are everywhere. They are a hardy breed, capable of surviving in every corner of this world. Small villages dot the countryside, and wherever there is land and fresh water, castles and cities pop up.

And of course, there are a multitude of lesser species, not worthy of the history books but still lurking in the shadows, waiting for an opportunity to strike and take advantage of any poor soul that stumbles upon them.
