Skiing in Aspen

Since my work has basically been killing my social life and I hadn't really hung out with someone let alone date someone outside the company during the last 3-4years I wanted to getaway and meet some new people.

My Parents had known the Mayburries for quite some time now and they had a sizeable skiing cottage in Rocky Mountains close to Aspen. Actually Cottage would be an understatement it was more like a mansion or an estate by the looks of it. Since I wanted not to be completley surrounded by stranger I thought I contact them to see if there was enough room for one more lodger in the cottage.

It turned out that their oldest and only son Scott who was about 8years younger than me so in his early 20's now. But that had been a really annoying and spoiled brat that times I had met him during holidays and dinner parties in the past was going to be there. He was entertaining some IV League College friends and his younger cousins Bianka, Rosa and Stefan. Who had been there with their branch of the family a bit earlier.

The Mayburries were thrilled that I was coming over so I could keep an eye on the "young rascalls" since last time they had left the place in Scott hands things had gotten a little bit out of hand. This was not something I felt all to easy about since now it was mine responsiblity.

But Aspen was just the right place to go, since I yearn to meet someone both for a quicky but also for something more serious. The area outside Aspen where the Mayburries had their estate was a well off area and as statistics would have it there are far more men in an Alpine skiing resort than women so the odds were in my favour.

The Office had told me to keep my Blackberry switched on at all times just in case I would have to work, they understood and respected my vacation and said that if this was the case they would send my Assistant Tomas down who would do must of the brunt work plus my vacation would be naturally extended.

Tomas was a college intern at my firm who I had hand-picked he was ambitious, hard working and very organized I bit boring and stuck up but nonetheless quite good looking.
